GWC: We're Writing to Congress! 💌

We're doing something a little old school: handwritten postcards to our Congressional reps.

On Saturday, August 15th at 10AM EDT / 4PM CET, join us on Zoom for a laid-back, 90-minute postcard-making session. Grab your poster board, markers, stamps, and a snack – we'll do the rest.

The Plan: We’ll open with a 5-minute anti-icebreaker. Then, to kick things off, I’ll show you how to make the postcards from your cardboard or postcards. While you make the physical postcards, there will be a quick 20-minute presentation on why writing your reps actually matters, how to look up your members and their bills, and a few safety tips for mailing. Then we draft some short, punchy lines together – data centers, ICE, the SAVE Act, whatever has you fired up. Then we sip, write, and chat. Good vibes.

I like to do two postcards per topic. Pick three topics, and your rep will get six postcards – mailed on different days for maximum impact.

If there's time left, we'll write to local reps, governors, or even friends and family, reminding them to vote in the midterms – November 3rd.

There'll be a shared hashtag (#PostcardsToCongress) so you can show proof of postage and inspire others to do the same.
