MAIL RETURN

You can take your ballot to iShop (either in San Antonio Tlayacapan or San Juan Cosala), where they will truck it to the border and then put it in the US Postal System.  They will charge you in the neighborhood of 65-70 pesos.

We highly advise that you do this by 15 October at the very latest.  If you delay, we advise that you use a courier like FedEx or DHL.  You will also have less time to "cure" your ballot if there are problems.  Ask for a postmark.

The consulate has told us that they must get ballots to be included in their diplomatic pouch by 1 October in order for them to be received in your county in time to be counted.  The consulate’s new address is Manuel Acuña 3410, Col. Monraz, 44670 Guadalajara, Jalisco. México.  You can bring your ballot there in person or send it by express courier mail.

If you are traveling to the US, you can put your ballot in the USPS yourself.  We recommend that you confirm with your LEO that mailing the ballot from within the US will be OK. Be careful about giving your ballot to another individual to return it for you; in many states, there are laws about who can carry another person’s ballot.

FAX RETURN

If you do not have access to a fax machine, you can upload your ballot to a service like faxzero.com.  

There are also fax machines available at iShop in either San Antonio Tlayacapan or San Juan Cosala, and at Papeleria Trinidad in San Antonio Tlayacapan.  You can also check to see if your local papelería has a fax machine.
