On March 3rd, all 222 House Democrats and 34 House Republicans voted to pass the Honoring Our Pact Act, a bill introduced by House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Mark Takano (D-CA-41). The bill addresses toxic exposure, burn pit exposure, radiation exposure, and, after decades of advocacy, creates a path for restitution for veterans and families exposed to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune, among other issues.
