Lunch with Nina Turner

Join fellow Democrats Abroad members in London this Saturday, April 20th for a lunchtime meet-and-greet session with the former Ohio State Senator Nina Turner!

In 2016, Turner served on the Democrats’ Unity Reform Commission, which sought to improve transparency, grassroots participation, and voter protection efforts within the Democratic Party. Since then, she’s worked as co-chair of Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign, and more recently has founded a workers' rights advocacy group, We Are Somebody.

For the Saturday event, we’ll be meeting at 12pm for lunch at the Philadelphia-themed restaurant, Passyunk Avenue, in Leake Street, near Waterloo. Senator Turner will talk about the state of progressive politics in the US at present, and there will be an opportunity for open discussion with the group on how best to achieve political objectives in the context of the 2024 electoral season.
