HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR! 新年快乐!Please join the DA France Diversity Caucus as we celebrate the Year of the Rabbit 2023 at a Chinese restaurant specializing in "xiaolongbao"(小笼包)or "soup dumplings" — a type of dumpling especially popular in Shanghai (Eastern China), and one of the many types of foods eaten at this time of year across East Asia in observance of the new year!
We will discuss the ancient origins of the lunar new year, the animal Zodiac cycle, and share some of ways in which the new year is celebrated around the world. The Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity, and thus 2023 is a year of hope.
This will be a Chinese banquet-style dinner, with a 25 EUR per person prix fixe menu, communal seating, and "family style" food service. Please note that drinks are not included in this price. Guests will settle their bills with the restaurant directly at the end of the meal. The prix fixe dinner includes:
