ACT Annual General Meeting - Let's elect our Leadership Team for 2020 GOTV!

    Hello Democrats Abroad ACT Members!

As we move into a presidential election year, it is important that we continue to work together to prepare to take on the orange menace of Donald Trump. In the coming year we will need to develop our plans to Get Out The Vote in Canberra for both for the Democrats Abroad Global Primary in March 2020 and the General Election in November 2020. Having been a member for Democrats Abroad for a number of years I can say that presidential election years see a big upswing in interest and activity.

This AGM has been deliberately timed to coincide with the first Democratic Primary Debates. If possible we will bring along a recording of the event to watch!

Part of this AGM is to elect our new ACT Leadership. The elected Chair will join the Executive Committee to guide Democrats Abroad Australia.

Nominations are being accepted for Chapter Chair and other positions, you can find all position descriptions here!

Do note that a Chair is all that is required for ACT to have an official active chapter!

If you would like nominate someone - or yourself, please refer to the email for instructions!

The deadlines for nominations will be 11:59pm on Friday, 14th June 2019 (AEST - local time).

Candidate statements and absentee ballots (for those who cannot attend the AGM) will be sent immediately following close of nominations. Absentee voting and proxies will be accepted up until 11:59pm, Friday 28 June 2019.

We are stronger together - and I am confident that we will be fortunate to have a number of you step forward to lead us in to the future!

    Hope to see you there!
