    DAVI February 25th Democratic Debate Watch--and GPP Ballot Assistance

    Please come join us to watch the upcoming Democratic Presidential Primary Debate on Tuesday, February 25th. And get help with remote voting in the Global Presidential Primary.

    We’re back at the Carlton House in Oak Bay for another great Democratic Debate--the last one before Super Tuesday and Democrats Abroad’s Global Presidential Primary (GPP),which runs from March 3 to 10! 

    DA will be sending out an email on February 18th with a link to your GPP ballot. The email will include instructions for sending it back in, either by email or postal mail (or voting in-person at the DAVI Voting Centre on March 7th). 

    If you have any questions about voting in the GPP or your home state’s elections, or need any help sending in your GPP ballot, please come to the Debate Watch and we’ll have volunteers ready to assist! *This is not an official polling station, but an opportunity to pick up your remote ballot and get help sending it in.

    TIME: 4:30pm - 8pm (Debate runs from 5pm-7pm)

       2080 Oak Bay Ave, at Elgin Road (MAP)
      Street parking, free after 5pm


    Coffee, tea and light snacks will be available. And please feel free to bring goodies to share!

    Cash donations are always greatly appreciated and all funds collected will be used for our Get Out the Vote initiatives! (Please Note: DAVI may only accept cash donations from US citizens)

    And please don’t forget: If you’d prefer to vote in-person, DAVI’s In-Person GPP Voting Centre will take place on Saturday, March 7th at Knox Presbyterian Church (2964 Richmond Rd, Victoria), from 11am - 3pm.

    Victoria -- Vote In-Person in DA's Global Presidential Primary

    Join us to vote in-person in Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary!

    The Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary (GPP) runs from March 3 to March 10, 2020.

    If you are a member of Democrats Abroad Canada, please join us on March 7, 2020, to vote in-person! We'll be at Knox Presbyterian Church, located at 2964 Richmond Rd (near Lansdowne Middle School), from 11am-3pm. Hope to see you at the polls!

    REMEMBER: You can't vote for a presidential candidate twice! But if you vote in the GPP, you can still vote in your state's primary for all of the other races, such as US Senate, US House and any state and local races.

    Important information: to vote in-person at the Victoria site, GPP voters must meet the following criteria:

    • Be abroad and be a U.S. Citizen
    • Be a member of Democrats Abroad Canada (same day registration is ALLOWED)
    • Be 18 years old as of November 3, 2020
    • Not have voted, or plan to vote, in any other 2020 state presidential primary

    Voters may register in-person on March 7th, or sign up to be a DA member at


    And if you can't make the in-person voting, you can also vote in the GPP by remote voting.

    On Feb 18th, DA will send out an email with a link to your GPP ballot. Please be on the lookout for it!

    Just download the GPP ballot and follow the instructions to send it back by Email or Postal Mail. Your ballot must be received by DA prior to 12:00 am PST on March 11, 2020.
