The 2024 Democrats Abroad delegation to the Democratic National Convention announces its majority support for Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States of America.
During the Global Presidential Primary, run in March 2024, U.S. citizens abroad voted in overwhelming numbers in support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Today, our delegation wholeheartedly endorses Kamala Harris to become the 47th President of the United States. Kamala Harris has played a key role in championing the country’s economic recovery, supporting climate action, fighting for gun control, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, voting rights and much more.
We thank President Biden for his outstanding service and leadership, and for the grace he has demonstrated as he steps aside for the next generation of Democratic leaders. We are profoundly grateful that Kamala Harris will carry forward this legacy.
We are also proud to represent Democrats Abroad, and the millions of U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. in countries around the world. We represent people of all different ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities, and we support a fair and open process for selecting the Democratic nominee for president of the United States of America.
