Cherryl Martin is Democrats Abroad UK’s Chair for 2025-2027, having previously served as Secretary in 2024. Cherryl hails from New York and has been a member of Democrats Abroad for more than a decade. She has been an active member in the Women’s and LGBTQ+ caucuses.
Professionally, Cherryl is a global marketing and digital transformation expert, serving as the Banking Communications Lead at the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). Previously she led U.S., U.K. and EMEA operations for FTSE 100 finance, media and technology companies including Barclays, Pearson, Viacom, and Marsh. Cherryl is a graduate of Yale University with postgraduate credentials in Marketing and Advertising from NYU. She was named a Fellow of the Institute of Data and Marketing (The IDM) in 2017.
