At its Annual General Meeting, DA Mexico decided that Oaxaca could provide support to the previous unaffiliated states of Veracruz, Chiapas, Tabasco, and Guerrero. We are now reaching out to members in these states and providing support to their members. While "Istmo" often refers to the Istmo de Tehuantepec, which connects Veracruz and Oaxaca, it is used more generally for the narrowest part of Mexico that connects North America with Central America. That is the sense we have adopted here.
