Democrats Abroad Germany Marches for Science

march_for_science_banner.jpg

Last year worldwide, more than a million people went into the streets on April 22, 2017 to demonstrate that scientific knowledge is a non-negotiable foundation of the discourse of our society. In Germany there were 22 marches with more than 37,000 participants. This was the second-largest number worldwide after the US.

This year on April 14, 2018, we unite again to hold our elected and appointed officials responsible for enacting equitable evidence-based policies that serve all communities and science for the common good.

Democrats Abroad Germany is participating in four marches around Germany. Please join us as we unite to hold our elected and appointed officials responsible for enacting equitable evidence-based policies that serve all communities and support science for the common good.

Munich March for Science

Saturday, April 14th, 9:30 A.M.

Cologne March for Science 2.0

Saturday, April 14th, 11:00 A.M.

Göttingen March for Science

Saturday, April 14th, 11:00 A.M.

March for Science Rally in Stuttgart

Saturday, April 14th, 3:00 P.M.

If you can’t attend a march, you can still help by contacting your congressional representative and senator. Your representatives need to hear every day that they should create and support evidence-based policies.  Hold them accountable for voting for science year-round, not just when a crisis breaks into the news cycle. Tell them what science issues matter to you and your community today.
