Follow the Leader
She walked along the stony narrow pathway
Dodging the wobbly sharp pebbles and stones
The sound of the cascading ravine befriended
She acknowledged the companions following
Laughing delightedly at their apprehensions
Defying cries of warning she marched on staunchly
Singing puerile hymns to cheer them all up
A dragonfly lighted on her bare thin shoulder
Whispering words of encouragement
She fearlessly skipped down the remaining dusty stairs
Turned and waited for the others to catch up.
