Weekly Action Calls
Every Monday at 7:00pm, members of Democrats Abroad UK meet over Zoom to take action - calling our Senators and US Representatives to make our voices heard on the topic of the week. This is a critical civic duty and calls make a difference. We use the 5Calls.org application to narrow the weekly topic. Join us for 15-20 minutes where we: 1) Quickly discuss the topics to call about; 2) Provide a quick training for anyone who is new; 3) Go on mute and make our calls; 4) Check in afterward to hear how it went. Want to join us? RSVP at the link below for the date you would like to attend. Want a calendar invite for the series of events with the zoom link included? Email [email protected] and we will add you to the invite.

Be a GOTV Super Volunteer
Have you done the voter registration training and want to do more? Will you have 2 - 4 hours every week to volunteer with voter registration drives in September and October this year? Join our Super Volunteer team!
Our Super Volunteers help run voter registration drives at Study Abroad programmes; help with 121 voter assistance via zoom rooms and via the voter assistance email help desk. Maximising turnout is a matter of numbers; the more people helping voters; the greater the number of ballots get returned. It’s that simple! The more Super Volunteers we have helping, the more voters we can reach. Join us! It’s fun and incredibly rewarding! Email us at [email protected] or and we will invite you to our next Super Volunteer advanced training.

This session will offer practical guidance for those interested in running voter registration drives on university campuses. It will be led by our experienced Get Out The Vote (GOTV) team, joined by members of the DAUK Brighton & Sussex team, who will share their insights and best practices from successfully organising such drives. -
May 6th 6:00pm– “Local Organizing: How to Organize a Voter Registration Table”
This training will focus on “tabling” in local communities - whether at farmers’ markets, libraries, or community events. It will also include de-escalation training, with guidance on how to confidently and safely handle challenging interactions, including responding to difficult questions (which happen on rare occasions). -
May 13th 6:00pm – “Local Organizing: Brainstorming July 4th Local Events”
This session will be a collaborative space to share ideas, recommendations, and practical guidance for organizing Democrats Abroad events in your area for celebrating July 4th.
