The Blue Wave Starts With Texas
Democrats Abroad’s Hispanic Caucus will be issuing candidate endorsements from now until Election Day on Tuesday, November 6th. With Texas voters nearly completing the first Democratic primary, I am pleased to announce our strong support for the following Texan congressional candidates in the General Election. Make no mistake: Republicans in Texas are scrambling in chaos for what they thought of as a “reliable” red state. With recent high primary voter turnout, however, they know they’re in trouble.
For Texas representation in Congress, let’s first look at the Democratic candidates for the House and Senate. If you do not know which congressional district you vote in, please let us know a.s.a.p. and we can assist you. Or, you can go here and type in your U.S. zip code in the upper-right-hand corner of the page to find your representative and therefore your two senators.
If you vote in Texas, here are the Democratic candidates running who you should be fired up about supporting:
Beto O’Rourke (challenger to incumbent GOP Sen. Ted Cruz)
Shirley McKellar (challenger to incumbent GOP Rep. Louis Gohmert)
Todd Litton (challenger to open seat)
(To be determined after May 22nd run-off election)
Catherine Krantz (challenger to incumbent GOP Rep. John Ratcliff)
