Ten members of Democrats Abroad Sweden (DAS) -- mostly from the Stockholm/Uppsala chapter but with one member from Western Sweden -- marched for equality and love at the Stockholm Pride Parade, Saturday 1 August 2026. Unfortunately, the 1964 bright-red Porsche that was to be the centerpiece of our presentation -- with JBL bluetooth loudspeaker strapped on the back! -- was not able to take part at the very last minute when the engine failed to turn over. The group made do with its "Democrats believe" banner, twirling streamers and, of course, rainbow flags. The DAS group was just behind Centerpartiet and ahead of a group from South America. The parade took a new route from past years, passing through Gamla stan before finishing at Slussen. Most of the group then went for drinks at the Södra teatern outdoor bar, adjacent to the new Pride-park area.
