Thinking about investing and/or planning retirement but don’t know where to start?
Get the event recording on how to invest and plan for retirement as an American living in France.
This event, presented by Robert Levitt of Levitt Capital Management, covers investing and retirement options for Americans in France. Please note that this session focuses on European Union regulations but also covered basic investing principles and retirement planning options applicable to France.
It is really difficult for Americans living in France to find ways to invest their money in either Europe or the United States. We often feel like we're stuck in a rock and a hard place, unable to open an investment account in some cases and save for our futures. Likewise, planning for retirement is a concern for many of us.
This session is for U.S. citizens/dual citizens who want to learn about the investment and retirement options available for Americans abroad, particularly in France.
Topics discussed in the session will include:
- What you can and cannot do with investments as an American living France
- French savings programs available to US citizens (PER, PEA, Assurance Vie)
- What to do with your stateside investments
- If you can have a U.S. revocable trust while being a French tax resident
- How to avoid a "tax bomb" on the US and French side
Speaker:
Robert Levitt, CFA, is an international financial and investment expert with Levitt Capital Management, as well as the Deputy Chair of DA’s Taxation Task Force.
The fine print:
- No refunds are available.
- We can't guarantee we will be able to answer all questions submitted before, during, or after the event, but we will try to answer as many questions as possible.
