JUNETEENTH 2022

Registration is now open for our members to register guests.

Please join the DAF Diversity Caucus on Sunday, June 19, from 5-7 pm, to celebrate Juneteenth, the U.S. national public holiday commemorating the effective end of slavery. This is a chance for us to get together on an important date in the history of Black America, enjoy some of Juneteenth’s signature red-tinged refreshments, learn more about Juneteenth and be entertained with musical selections related to this important day.

Poet and spoken-word performer Victor Andre Greene will provide insights about Juneteenth and the dynamic Paris-based Linda Lee Hopkins, the great voice of R&B, Soul and Gospel, will sing songs long associated with the African American experience.

We are requesting a donation of $20 per person to cover the expenses of the event and raise funds for future Diversity Caucus activities. We want to ensure that this activity is open to all who want to attend, so if cost is an issue for anyone, you may reach out directly to us at  [email protected]

We would like to express our gratitude to DAF member Suzanne Justen for providing her lovely, historic home for our gathering. The address will be provided to those individuals who register to attend.

We have room for 50 attendees, so please sign up early to ensure your place. Due to capacity constraints, guests will be limited to allow our members to attend the event. If we have the capacity, we will open the event to guests on June 14th.
