Las Vidas Negras Importan
Nosotros, el Comité Directivo del Caucus Hispano de los Demócratas en el Extranjero, reconocemos la tristeza y la desesperación de nuestras queridas comunidades y aliados negros como resultado del racismo institucionalizado, las acciones horribles y opresivas infligidas por un sistema de justicia injusto, la represión generalizada de votantes en toda nuestra república y un desalmado Presidente de los Estados Unidos. Es suficiente. No podemos permanecer en silencio mientras esta administración continúa avivando las llamas del racismo con llamados a la violencia letal contra nuestras comunidades. Condenamos la violencia sin sentido contra afroamericanos y defendemos la solidaridad y la paz por el derecho a protestar por los derechos humanos y la dignidad básica. ¡La deshumanización de nuestros hermanos y hermanas negros debe DETENERSE!
Prometemos nuestro pleno apoyo a la comunidad negra y a nuestros colegas en el Black Caucus. Condenamos enérgicamente todas las manifestaciones de discriminación racial y étnica; No hay lugar para el racismo en ninguna parte. Avanzaremos juntos para desprogramar, desmantelar y desempaquetar el racismo sistémico vinculado a la historia de nuestras agencias policiales. Lucharemos junto con y en coordinación con el Global Black Caucus para asegurar que la crueldad de la supremacía blanca arraigada en nuestras tácticas policiales estadounidenses termine aquí.

Debemos elegir funcionarios gubernamentales que respondan a nuestras demandas de leyes y prácticas institucionales que conduzcan a una sociedad libre y justa. Necesitamos no solo votar, sino también deconstruir, desmantelar y reconstruir sistemáticamente las tácticas policiales estadounidenses.
Instamos a todos los que viven dentro de las fronteras de los Estados Unidos a asegurarse de que se cuenten en el censo de 2020. We, the Democrats Abroad Hispanic Caucus Steering Committee, recognize the sorrow and despair of our beloved Black communities and allies resulting from institutionalized racism, the horrific and oppressive actions inflicted by an unjust justice system, widespread voter suppression across our republic, and a heartless US President. Enough is enough. We cannot stay silent as this administration continues to fan the flames of racism with calls for lethal violence against our communities. We condemn the senseless violence against Black Americans and we stand in solidarity and peace for the right to protest for basic human rights and dignity. The dehumanization of our Black brothers and sisters must STOP!
We pledge our full support to the Black community and to our colleagues in the Democrats Abroad Global Black Caucus. We strongly condemn all displays of racial and ethnic discrimination; there is no place for racism anywhere. We will move forward together to deprogram, dismantle and unpack the systemic racism tied into the history of our law enforcement agencies. We will fight along with and in coordination with the Global Black Caucus to ensure the cruelty of white supremacy entrenched in our American policing tactics ends here.
These measures are necessary to ensure that the behaviors exhibited by those who are sworn to serve and protect will never be repeated. We will fight to undo the cruelty that white supremacy has allowed to continue in the system.
Protests are the first step in this journey, we also need to replace the politicians who are allowing systemic racism to endure. We must elect government officials who are responsive to our demands for laws and institutional practices that lead to a free and just society. We need to not only vote, but systematically deconstruct, defund and rebuild American policing as we know it.
We urge everyone living within the borders of the United States to ensure that they are counted in the 2020 census. We implore all US Citizens to vote; those living outside the United States should request their absentee ballot through votefromabroad.org and make sure it is returned in a timely fashion to be counted in the November election.
