Suisse Romande's Annual Chapter Meeting is just around the corner, and that means it’s Chapter election season! Every two years, the Democrats Abroad Switzerland (DACH) Suisse Romande Chapter elects a new committee consisting of Chair and, ideally also, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and two members-at-large.
Democrats Abroad is an organization chartered by the Democratic National Committee. We support the Democratic agenda by registering U.S. citizens overseas to vote in elections, disseminating information about Democratic candidates and policies, and encouraging political activism in social and racial justice, fixing U.S. tax policy for Americans abroad, progressive issues, reproductive freedom and other areas.
Nominations Timeline and Eligibility
All active members of the DACH Suisse Romande Chapter are eligible and encouraged to run for a position on the Chapter Committee. Help DACH carry out it's work through the 2024 presidential election!
To submit your name for an office, send an email to Nominations Chair Peter Butterfield at [email protected] by end of day Wednesday, February 15th. If you are unsure of your active status, please email Peter.
By Saturday, February 25th, we will announce the candidates and voting procedures via email and web post, along with the notice of the March 22 Annual Chapter Meeting. At that meeting, members will elect our new officers as well as conduct other business of the chapter body.
