Sandton Consulate Ballot Drop Meetup

 

Gauteng Voters - Let's Meet at Doppio Zero Sandton City and Drop Off Our "Mail-in" Ballots Together at the Sandton Consulate on Wednesday 25 September, 12-2pm 

 

Does your state require mail-in / postal return of ballots? If you don't know and haven't already made a Voting Plan, check your state-specific requirements here at www.votefromabroad.org/states 

If your state is still running old school mail, your options are to either send it by courier or drop it off in a stamped or postage paid envelope at the Consulate in Sandton, Cape Town or Durban to make use of their Diplomatic Pouch. You can find all the details here in our How To Vote From South Africa 2024 Guidance 

If you're going to use the Consulate Diplomatic Pouch, we strongly recommend you drop it off by Wednesday 25 September (first week of Oct at the latest) - as the Pouch can take several weeks. Consulate drop off info is included in the How To Vote from SA Doc linked above. 

For the 2020 and 2022 elections we've met at the Doppio Zero in Sandton City and then walked across the street together to the Consulate to drop off our ballots. Let's do it again!

Have you requested your 2024 Ballot? If you're reading this and you haven't, get that done today at www.votefromabroad.org as you can only submit your ballot if you've requested & received one! Ballot Day (45 days before the election) is Saturday 21 September - those who have requested theirs prior to then should receive them by email on/before the 21st.
