The Democrats Abroad Global Veterans and Military Families (VMF) Caucus recently offered a hearty birthday congratulations to a fantastic member of Democrats Abroad.
As part of the “greatest generation,” Democrats Abroad France member Peter Kenton is without a doubt an American hero. Peter served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and afterwards moved to Paris, France and decided to stay there for the long term. He is a proud UOCAVA voter from New York, and he’s been a cornerstone of expat legislative advocacy over the years. Both the Dems Abroad France VMF Caucus and the Dems Abroad Global VMF Caucus are extremely grateful to have Peter among our membership ranks. In early 2026, Peter hit an incredible milestone with his 100th birthday. To celebrate Peter and his military service, a party was thrown for him in Paris, surrounded by Democrats Abroad members and friends.
Have a look at this video to see just a few highlights of Peter and his entourage!
U.S. citizens living abroad, both civilian and military, are highly encouraged to check your voter registration status and request your ballot for any upcoming elections in your home voting state that you are eligible to vote in.
The Global VMF Caucus has a membership of over 1,400 members located in dozens of countries and proudly consists of veterans, service members, military family members, Department of Defense civilians, other national security professionals, and strong allies of veterans and military family causes.
