Asian Fried Rice with Annie Tanampai

It is hard to pinpoint when fried rice was actually invented, but it is believed that all fried rice dishes can trace their origin to Chinese fried rice.

This has its origins during the Sui dynasty (A.D. 589–618), in the city of Yangzho in eastern Jiangsu province.

To celebrate AAPI heritage month this May, we are organizing a cooking event. We decided to cook this tasty dish because fried rice is a common dish in Asian and Asian American communities. Many varied recipes for fried rice exist, and can be easily adapted to your taste.

Annie (DA Belgium) will be leading the cooking event. The recipe and ingredient list will be sent one week prior to the event.

So please join us if you want to learn how a make a fried rice dish and share stories of Asian and Asian American cuisines!
