It's primary season! See you in Berlin, Dresden, Jena & Leipzig

We're back from the Annual General Meeting in Munich and full of energy to help as many Americans vote from Berlin. You can catch a glimpse of the weekend and #teamBerlin in this photo album (Facebook).

There was also a great turnout (photos on Twitter) at the January 2020 kickoff meeting. Thanks to everyone who came and signed up to get involved this year!

Did you know Democrats Abroad runs its own primary? March 3-10, 2020, Americans abroad can vote for a Democratic presidential candidate in the Global Presidential Primary. There are over 30 polling places around Germany, including four in the east: Berlin, DresdenLeipzig, and Jena. You can also return your ballot by post, email, or fax. More details about in-person voting locations at the end.

Join us on Tuesday, Feb 4th for the monthly meeting in Berlin at Brauhaus Südstern. It'll be right after the Iowa caucuses, so there'll be lots to discuss -- and you can get help with registering to vote and find out more about getting involved. RSVP & see you there!

Updates

Volunteer at the Global Primary

There will be four voting centers in eastern Germany, which is a big undertaking -- all powered by volunteers. To help make these primary polling places run smoothly, we need YOUR HELP with setup, greeting voters, registration, ballot box observing, ballot counting, and clean-up. If you can pitch in for a few hours, sign up here:

Kiez 💙 Phonebanking

We now have Kiez teams in Pankow, Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte, Kreuzberg, Neukölln, Moabit, Wedding, and Friedrichshain!

They'll be organizing neighborhood phonebanking parties in the latter half of February, to invite members to the Global Presidential Primary and remind them to request their ballots.

If you can offer your living room or office on one evening so a group of 4-6 volunteers from your Kiez can make phone calls (over the internet), please let us know! Drop a line to [email protected]
