Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary Comes to Singapore

Calling all Democrats living in Singapore.  The Global Presidential Primary is almost here!!

On Monday 7 March, 7-10pm we will be gathering at the Asia Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at 75 Bukit Timah Road (near the Little India MRT Station) to cast ballots for the Democratic Party nominee for President of the United States.

Come and cast your vote!  And bring your USA Dem friends with you!!

Photo ID is essential, preferably issued by the US fed or a US state government.  Voters take an oath attesting to their US citizenship as well.

From 8pm we will be hearing an enormously insightful and sure to be entertaining presentation by Steve Okun about the results of the Super Tuesday primary elections, both the Democratic and Republican contests.  This is an event not to be missed!

Welcome to Democrats Abroad Lion City Committee (DALCC), the Country Committee of Democrats Abroad for those living in Singapore.  We offer a community and point of contact for Democrats seeking to connect and stay informed and engaged while living abroad.
Activities include hosting voter registration events in election years, bringing Democrats together through social events and volunteer opportunities, providing updates on legislation and races back home through our Facebook Page, tracking expat issues, and supporting Democratic candidates.

How to find us and get involved:

1 Join us now—it’s easy and free.
As a member of Democrats Abroad you will get emails about our activities and events.

2 Like our Democrats Abroad Lion City Facebook Page.
Use the drop-down menu under ‘liked’ to ensure you are notified whenever new updates are posted.  Here you can follow local activities and the latest postings about issues/campaigns back home (including legislation directly affecting expats).  You can also post your comments.

3 Most important, if you haven’t already done this, please register to vote from abroad and request a ballot in each year that you want to vote.  This site makes it quick and easy.

Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party organization for more than 8.7 million Americans living outside the United States.  It has the status of a ‘state’ in the Democratic Party, so is represented by voting members on the Democratic National Committee and has its own delegation to the Democratic National Convention.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you at a future event!

Democratically yours,

Patricia Reed, Chair, Democrats Abroad LCC
