Statement from the Chair on Recent VMF Leadership Changes

Melbourne, Australia—Michael Ramos, current chairperson of the Democrats Abroad Global Veterans and Military Families (VMF) Caucus and resident of Australia, offered the following statement in regard to recent internal changes among VMF leadership:

“I am pleased to announce some changes to VMF’s leadership structure. Our current Vice Chair and former Chair, military family member Kee Evans, has moved over to VMF Communications Coordinator. Libby Jamison, a military family member residing in Morocco, has agreed to step in as VMF’s new Vice Chair. In addition, Marine Corps veteran Stephen Peters, resident of the United Kingdom, also joined the Steering Committee. I am extremely grateful for Kee’s years of service in the VMF Caucus and know she will do great in her new comms role. I am also very appreciative of Libby and Stephen for taking on their new positions, and I’m equally confident in their abilities to help lead us. Given this is a critical election year where Get-Out-The-Vote efforts are a Democrats Abroad priority, I am confident the recent restructuring will lead to increased voter turnout of the military-connected community abroad, and ultimately, a blue wave of Democratic victories in November.”
