Walter Davenport is a former member of the U.S. Department of State's Foreign Diplomatic Service, he joins us for drinks yo discuss issues involving and the importance of voting. About Walter:
Walter N. Davenport Jr. was born in New Orleans. He earned an MA from Syracuse University, a BA from the University of Maryland, and an AA degree from Prince Georges Community College in Maryland. He is a U.S. Army veteran and served as a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. He entered the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Diplomatic Service in 1976, serving until his retirement in 1997. He is a published poet, Married to a Dutch National, he resides in The Netherlands.
Walter served in: Mexico (1976-78); Israel (1978-81); Egypt (1981-83); Malaysia (1984-86); the Netherlands (1986-90); Jamaica (1990-93); Dominican Republic (1993-95); Ukraine (1995-97).
