Walter Davenport is a former member of the U.S. Department of State's Foreign Diplomatic Service, he joins us for drinks yo discuss issues involving and the importance of voting. Join us and ask your questions. You're welcome to stay for dinner with Walter and DANL's Secretary after. The event will be help in the Hague: Location will be confirmed shortly.

About Walter:
Walter N. Davenport Jr. was born in New Orleans. He earned an MA from Syracuse University, a BA from the University of Maryland, and an AA degree from Prince Georges Community College in Maryland. He is a U.S. Army veteran and served as a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. He entered the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Diplomatic Service in 1976, serving until his retirement in 1997. He is a published poet, Married to a Dutch National, he resides in The Netherlands.
Walter served in: Mexico (1976-78); Israel (1978-81); Egypt (1981-83); Malaysia (1984-86); the Netherlands (1986-90); Jamaica (1990-93); Dominican Republic (1993-95); Ukraine (1995-97).
