On September 12, 2024 Democrats Abroad participated in a lunch briefing in Washington D.C. with the Congressional Trade & Tax Staff Association to educate tax writers on bipartisan, realistic, and passable tax proposals that could be included in the large tax bill due to pass in 2025. 30 Republican and Democratic legislative tax staff working for Members of Congress on the Senate Finance and House Ways & Means Committees attended the session. - Excluding small and medium sized American business owners abroad from GILTI tax and reporting
