How to Survive Tax Day as an American Abroad

Our first webinar of 2026 is to help Americans abroad save time and money on tax preparation and better understand the U.S. government resources available for filing a U.S. tax return from overseas. The goal of the session is to help you feel more confident about filing, understand whether it makes sense to file on your own, use tax preparation software, or hire an accountant, and become aware of your rights when dealing with the IRS. We will also debunk common myths surrounding the who, what, where, when, and why of filing a U.S. tax return as an American abroad.

How to Catch Up on Filing U.S. Taxes from Abroad (Streamlined Filing)

Have you forgotten to file a U.S. tax return since you moved abroad, or have you been living outside the U.S. for a long time (perhaps even decades) without ever filing? Join us to go over the IRS Streamlined Filing Procedure, which allows eligible Americans abroad to get back into compliance with their U.S. tax obligations. The good news is that you don't have to file for all the years you’ve missed; you potentially won't owe any U.S. tax; and you might even be eligible for a refund from the IRS, depending on your circumstances.
