AI and Elections: What's in Store for 2024

This event is for anyone, but especially for those who wouldn’t normally attend an event about tech and are concerned about the future of democracy.

It’s no secret that, with the rise of Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Artificial Intelligence is challenging our conceptions of reality, and blurring the lines between human and machine creation. While AI can be applied responsibly and ethically, the premature release of these products has turned the world into a testbed—a world that, in 2024, is facing over 40 elections and an information landscape that exists primarily online.

So, where does AI fit into all of this? What are the ethical impacts of automated decision making? What can social media platforms do to combat the spread of AI-enabled disinformation? How can we, as campaigners, ensure a fair voting process from abroad?

We are thrilled to host such a timely event. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be an expert to attend! You’ll leave educated, empowered, and ready to help voters navigate AI in the lead-up to November.
