DA Denmark Book Club Reads Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders
This month the DADK Book Club will read Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders. Beginning with the death and interment of Abraham Lincoln's young son, Willie the story is told mostly through a series of monologues given by the ghosts that Willie encounters in the bardo - the state between death and reincarnation. It is within this transitional state a monumental struggle erupts to save Willie's soul.
We'll meet for discussion in person at Books and Company (Sofievej 1, 2900 Hellerup) and join in online via Zoom on Tuesday, September 21 at 6:30 pm.
