Today is Child Tax Credit Day of Action. This day is intended to raise awareness to American families that qualify for $3,000 or $3,600 per child ages 0-17 depending on the child’s age. We want to remind Congress that they excluded American families abroad from the extended Child Tax Credit last year which has resulted in unprecedented levels of American families abroad who mistakenly received the extended Child Tax Credit and are being asked to pay it back this year.
Democrats Abroad believes this is wrong and unfair.
On Child Tax Credit Day of Action, Democrats Abroad asks American families abroad to share their stories by messaging their Members of Congress to raise awareness of this important issue.
