CALL TO COUNCIL MEETING / 2022 GOTV BOOTCAMP
DAUK will hold a Council Meeting in person at the Wolfson Theatre at the London School of Economic and online, on Sunday, Sept. 25th, 10am-12pm BST
The main business of the Council Meeting will be to vote on proposed amendments to our bylaws, specifically updating our internal elections processes.
- Please see attached the agenda for the Council meeting. Please also find the “Clean Copy” of the proposed amendments, the “Redline” version and a table of edits explaining each of the changes.
- Minutes for the December and May Council meetings are available at the links.
- Zoom details will be included with RSVP confirmations.
The DAUK 2022 GOTV Bootcamp will immediately follow the Council Meeting, 12-4pm BST.
GOTV training for the 2022 Midterms will be offered during the second half of Council Meeting. At noon, we will break for lunch (on DAUK!), and participants will have a choice of 1) phonebanking together at LSE/Zoom or 2) voter registration together on the streets of London.
Please consider staying for the GOTV Bootcamp - our votes from abroad will absolutely make a difference in the elections. In 2020, voters abroad were the margin of victory in Georgia and Arizona in 2020. With Choice on the Ballot this November, and indeed our civil and democratic rights at stake, the time for action is now!
Phonebanking has been demonstrated as the most effective way of turning out the vote from abroad; voter registration and assistance will also help ensure that we capture every possible Democratic vote in the U.K. We are grateful for any time you can spend on getting out the vote!
