Join us for the August gathering of the Democrats Abroad book club! We'll discuss Americanah, a novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
The goal is to provide a shared reading experience and relaxed discussion space for Democrats Abroad members. Please share this event with your American friends and acquaintances in Berlin! As always, we welcome new faces, even if you've never attended a meeting or an event before.

Are you passionate about US politics but feel like you don't have much opportunity to make an impact? Especially all the way over here in Halle and Leipzig?
Well, I feel the same way, so let's get the Democrats Abroad Halle/Leipzig Precinct going!
Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic party organization that aims to represent US citizens overseas. There are many available caucuses to pursue specific passions. By starting a local precinct, we can successfully reach all of the US citizens living in the area and mobilize voter for the 2020 election!
It just takes a couple minutes to learn more and sign up at: https://www.democratsabroad.org/de
At this kick-off meetup, there will be an opportunity to introduce ourselves and briefly discuss possible directions our precinct could go. The location is perfect as it is decorated with hokey US stuff, plus there's food, drinks, bowling, and a chance to bring board games/cards if you favor socializing over a game. Please come, and if you know other Democrat Americans invite them, too!
I will make sure to have a clear sign with "Democrats Abroad Halle-Leipzig" written on it so you can find the table :)
Please, RSVP on this page if you plan on coming to the event so I can call ahead of time and reserve a table with enough seats. Help us out by inviting your American friends and acquaintances -- and you can share this event on Facebook too.
