About the Position
In consultation with relevant stakeholders, the Leadership Development Coordinator will help train, develop, and mentor leaders across DA as well as provide support for developing volunteer leadership skills in DA country committees and global teams as requested, with the goal of maximizing the leadership potential of DA and building sustainable, agile teams. Areas of capability development include conflict resolution, dealing with change, problem solving, building diverse and inclusive teams, innovating, time management, delegating, building trust and respect, and coaching and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a leadership development program to support the needs of DA’s current and future leaders
- Identify and develop a pool of talent to deliver the leadership development program
- Conduct leadership development sessions for DA leaders
- Provide individual mentoring and coaching to DA leaders as requested
Skills & Qualifications
- Commitment to helping DA, the Democratic Party, and Democratic candidates succeed
- Member of Democrats Abroad (join here)
- Experience in developing and delivering leadership programs
- Familiarity with tools, tactics, and technologies for developing leaders
- Experience organizing and conducting leadership programs
- Highly communicative and responsive
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Passion for helping others discover and develop their own potential

Location: Online
Estimated Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week in 2022
Language: English
Start Date: From January 10, 2022
End Date: May 2023
Compensation: Unpaid (but tremendously rewarding!)
