We welcome the swift action today by President Biden to fulfill on his campaign promise to undo the unjust exclusion of transgender individuals from military service.
Allowing all qualified Americans to serve their country in uniform provides a single standard. Affirming the eligibility of individuals who identify as transgender to enter and serve in their self-identified gender is the right thing to do.
