How Voting Works: In Greece and to US from Abroad
May 11, 2023

Just ahead of Greece’s May 21 General Elections, Thessaloniki Democrats Abroad debated the virtues and the foibles of the Greek electoral system under the expert guidance of Lambrini Nassis, DA member and lawyer who regularly serves as a court-appointed polling official.

Worksheets ready! (l-r) Connie Papanicolas, Thomas Papanikolaou Karydas, Christa Calbos, Tina Mavrikos-Adamou

Thessaloniki Democrats cast their US ballots in California, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington D.C., Maryland and elsewhere. The discussion gave an opportunity to compare and contrast systems.

And a guest from Czech Republic! (l-r) Carol Sanford, [Peter Baiter in the mirror] Lambrini Nassis

Many new faces and voices joined in, including a special visitor from DA Czech Republic in Prague, Carol Sanford.

Intent on the discussion. (l-r) Eva Kanellis, hosts Daniel Roberts and Francoise Falise, with Effie Nabhan, Eirini Gouleta

The event was initiated by member Effie Nabhan, and hosted by Francoise Falise and Daniel Roberts, At Large Representative for DA Greece.
