MLK Day Event with Harcourt Klinefelter Former Press Officer of Martin Luther King.
Join us on Monday, January 15th at 1 pm ET/7 pm CET to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and legacy.
This year would have been MLK's 95th Birthday!
Our Special Guest is Harcourt Klinefelter, Martin Luther King Jr.'s former press officer and friend of MLK. He will discuss his time with King and how he spread MLK's message worldwide. Mr. Klinefelter is also a member of Democrats Abroad. He is one of the few remaining people who have worked with and been in the presence of Dr. King.

About the Speaker
Pastor Harcourt Klinefelter (1938) was Martin Luther King's former press officer. He walked with thousands of black and white people in the 3rd Montgomery to Selma march in 1965. He brought a tape recorder and interviewed many people.
He went to King with the interviews, who said to bring them to Bill Stein. The interviews were broadcast on national radio, and from that moment, Klinefelter was responsible for Dr. King's speeches. He met Dutch Annelies Koopmans at the SCLC office and married her in 1966. They live in Steenwijkerwold, the north of the Netherlands, and Klinefelter always continued the nonviolent fight for equal rights.
His biography is ‘The Life of Peace Apostle Harcourt Klinefelter, the Globalization of the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King.’ Harcourt, also called Harky, still owns the old tape recorder and audio tapes that recorded the speeches of Dr. Martin Luther King.WHEN
