Sandton Ballot Drop Meetup

If it does, our only viable options from South Africa are using a courier or the US Consulate Diplomatic Bag. The US has Consulates in Cape Town, Durban and Joburg. The Consulates have told us to drop ballots as soon as we receive them as this service can take weeks. If you’ve requested your ballot you should receive it by 24 Sept – Ballot Day. We STRONGLY suggest you drop it at a Consulate by Tuesday 27 September. Even if you’re using a courier, do it early.

You can request your absentee ballot at www.votefromabroad.org Be sure to ask for your ballot to be delivered to you by email and look carefully at your state’s rules & processes. 

We will have informal Ballot Drop Meetups near the Consulate in Sandton on 26 & 27 September. Complete your ballot over the weekend and then stop by one of the meetups and drop off together! We can do photos without masks this year!
