May Book Club

Come join us for the "Berlin Dems Book Club" - an informal gathering for Democrats Abroad members in Berlin, who share an interest in talking politics and reading good books!

This is the chance to gather with like-minded individuals to discuss a mix of political novels and non-fiction. Whether you are an avid reader or just interested in meeting some local Democrats in the area, all are welcome.

The May read is Tyranny of the Minority, a call to reform our antiquated political institutions before it’s too late—from the authors of How Democracies Die, Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt. Per the authors, "it’s a daunting task, but we have remade our country before—most notably, after the Civil War and during the Progressive Era. And now we are at a crossroads: America will either become a multiracial democracy or it will cease to be a democracy at all."

To join the Democrats Abroad Berlin Book Club group on Signal reach out to Amanda, our Volunteer & Memembership Coordinator, at [email protected].
