We are pleased to announce that July 4th will be our first non-virtual event after the lockdown. An open-air, bring-your-own-food picnic in the park with socialization, games and great political discussion!
The location will be the same as previous years: El Retiro park, on the grass between La Fuente del Ángel Caído and la Rosaleda.
We are excited to see you in person, but we are also aware that COVID remains a threat. As such, there will be a few minor changes this year to ensure everyone’s safety.
1. DA will not be providing food, and we kindly request that, this time around, attendees bring their own individual picnics. We will provide beverages, although we also encourage people to bring their own.
2. Remember to remain hypervigilant with hand sanitizer and the use of masks.
3. Social distancing while eating/drinking (i.e., while masks are removed) will be actively enforced. We can hang out, but not too close!
4. If you suspect you may be ill, please refrain from attending. We will be excited to see you the next time around.
After so long without seeing your faces, it will be a real pleasure to host this event. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
