
Join Democrats Abroad Switzerland for our DACH Wellness Series! This mix of online and in-person events is designed to help our leaders and volunteers stay grounded and calm this election year. We see this as a complement to our advocacy work done via protests and Get Out the Vote initiatives.
The DACH Wellness Series is being provided free of cost as we feel this is an important initiative for our members and volunteers. However, we would greatly appreciate a donation, should you wish to support us in our outreach this year.

Adrianne Lind is an author, yoga coach, meditation guide, and mindfulness activist, as well as a Democrats Abroad volunteer extraordinaire. In 2025, she published Mindful & Mobilized: The Digital Wellness Guide for Political Activists. On Sunday, April 26, she will teach us three skills for steadiness that we can take with us this year. Get cozy, grab a beverage, and join us on Zoom for this one hour session. |

Kristen Watson Geering moved from Encinitas, CA to Basel, CH in 2012. In 2016, she opened The Looking Glass as sole owner and director. On Saturday, May 2, Kristen will lead us in 60 minutes of restorative Yin Yoga. Yin Yoga is the practice and invitation to slow down into deep surrender and stillness. It focuses on long holds, with support from various props such as blocks, sandbags, straps, blankets, and bolsters. Because of the amount of time each posture is held and supported, it works with the fascia, or connective tissues of the body, as opposed to the muscular structures, resulting in a deep letting go and unraveling- not only of the physical, but the emotional patterns stored within the body as well. |

Module 1: Finding Clarity & Stillness in your Mind Too often our minds are filled with negative self-talk, self-criticism, worry, and rumination about past events or future fears. While some degree of mental chatter is normal, excessive negative thoughts can cause health issues and impact our quality of life. In this module you will find clarity and stillness in your mind by understanding and unlearning your personal negative fear patterns. You will learn how to control your mind and create an empowering upward spiral for yourself by freeing yourself from other people's judgement & approval. These tools can help us in our everyday lives as well as in our interpersonal work with Democrats Abroad. |

Learn how to develop emotional control so that your anxiety, insecurities or feelings of shame, guilt, etc. won't get to hold you back or keep you trapped in unfulfilling situations anymore. You will release your current disempowering emotions and learn easy techniques to elevate your emotional state instantly. These tools can help us in our everyday lives as well as in our interpersonal work with Democrats Abroad. |
