Perhaps you saw the email last week announcing our Annual General Meeting on March 30th. We will hear from our executive committee members with reports from the year's efforts, hold our bi-annual elections, and listen to a short talk from Rebecca Lammers who heads up the Global Taxation Task Force for DA. I hope you will join us there either in person or online and come early for some more social time to our Pre-AGM lunch!
Of course, this means that this is my last newsletter to you as chair. Despite the outcome of the 2024 elections, I truly enjoyed my time as DACH chair. I feel we accomplished a tremendous amount in the last two years and I couldn't have picked a better team to work with. I will remain on the ExCom as chair ex-officio and I've also been appointed to a global role as chair of the Global Progressive Caucus, so I'll be around! In addition to the AGM, below you'll see we have our regular meetups and events as well as our annual Tax Talks going on. We are also organizing resistance protests. In Geneva and Lausanne, there are DA protests this Saturday, March 15th against DOGE and Tesla and additional protests are in the works (permits permitting) for Basel and Zürich, so keep an eye out for those.
