DA Norway Voter Registration and GOTV Action Alert: We’ll be calling you soon!
Now that spring perhaps may have sprung in Norway, it’s time for Democrats Abroad Norway (DAN) to begin planning and acting in earnest in preparation for the November 5 election, up and down the ballot. The outcome will determine the future of America’s democratic experiment for at least the next 4 years and probably longer.
The 2020 election was a watershed, and this November’s election may well be even more critical. Will we continue on a path, granted not always a smooth one, to prosperity, a cleaner environment, equal rights, freedom of expression, and reproductive freedom, or toward the repression of a MAGA autocracy? Will we shrink from American leadership in the world and abandon Ukraine and NATO. That’s what’s at stake—nothing less.
So, over the next few weeks, DAN volunteers will be calling and/or texting all of our approximately 2000 DAN members to make sure we have all the tools we need to vote in the remaining primaries in our states and most importantly in the November 5 general election.
Local volunteers are calling, with a US number with a Washington DC area code (+1 202). These are Voice Over Internet calls and usually don't cost you anything.
So please request your absentee ballot NOW! It’s easy: one time/one place to register for your absentee ballot–just go to votefromabroad.org. Registering for all elections takes just 5 minutes and provides you with all the tools you need to vote. So please answer our call—both literally and figuratively.
Our all-volunteer team could use your help to make calls and register voters, so if you want to join our local calling team, email us at [email protected]
We’ll talk soon. Many thanks for reading, listening, and rolling up your sleeves, and please spread the word!
In solidarity,
Christina Skovsgaard
