It’s election season for Democrats Abroad! From now until mid-May, officers will be elected around the world at all levels of our organization--global, regional, country committee, and chapter. This page is your one-stop shop for information related to the election of the DA’s global officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Counsel). These five people plus the three Regional Chairs comprise the eight members of Democrats Abroad’s Executive Committee.

The election will be held on May 15, 2021, beginning at 10:30 p.m. (to be confirmed), Washington, D.C. time. Each Democrats Abroad country committee will send its DPCA Voting Reps to attend this meeting. In normal times, the physical meeting takes place in Washington, D.C. (in odd years), with some members attending in person and others joining in online from around the globe. This year, the meeting will be entirely virtual. All members of Democrats Abroad are invited to attend. Your DPCA Voting Representatives (elected by you, at your country committee’s AGM) will be voting for DA’s officers, and for any Resolutions or Bylaw Amendments that come forward to the Global Meeting. If you have opinions about where their votes should go, please be sure to discuss that with them. (If you don’t know who your voting reps are, contact your country chair!)
