We have exciting things planned for our March meeting at the SPD Kreishaus Eimsbüttel. We will be introducing our new chapter leadership and giving a report on this year's Democrats Abroad Germany's Annual General Meeting held in Heidelberg. We'll talk about ways to celebrate Women's History Month, including how to get involved with our efforts to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. (We're only one state away!) We will also welcome SPD Member of the German Parliament, Metin Hakverdi who will talk with us about his recent trip to the United States as well as his work with the German-American Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Atlantik Brücke. Mr. Hakverdi has also extended an invitation to our chapter to visit the Bundestag as his guests. If you are interested in this unique opportunity, you MUST attend this meeting.
Mr. Hakverdi represents the Hamburg districts of Bergedorf, Harburg, and Wilhelmsburg.
We will gather for some coffee, cookies, and fellowship before the meeting starting at 13:30. Our meeting begins at 14:00.
If you have any questions or if there is something you would like to talk about at our meeting, please email me at DAG-Hamburg@democratsabroad.org.
