DA Sweden annual general meeting
14.00-16.30 Saturday 18 April at Tegskyrkan in Umeå

There will be a report from our chair. We'll hear about community activities in each of our five chapters, including the well-attended No Dictator demonstrations this past year. We'll hear about the work being done to get out the vote. We'll also have a business meeting that will include a vote on amending the organization bylaws. Discussions about the coming election cycle followed by a social event and dinner will round out the day.

Get involved with Democrats Abroad Sweden!
Democrats did spectacularly well in last autumn's elections, and Democrats Abroad played its part. For this year's critical midterm elections, we are working hard to get out the vote from here in Sweden, which means increasing -- if possible -- voter participation over previous election cycles.
It's time to register (if necessary) and request your ballots now. Don't put it off, not just because primaries and possible special elections can sneak up on you, but also because you may (depending on state) be able to vote in local elections. You can find all the information you need here.
We need volunteers to help register voters and remind those who are registered to request their ballots. Democrats Abroad has a digital platform and training sessions that make this work efficient and easy to learn.
Please sign up for phone banking to help us reach fellow Democrats in Sweden and around the world, reminding them to request their ballots and vote. It really works, so get involved. Your calls make the difference!
DA Sweden’s chapters
DAS has active chapters in Skåne, Stockholm/Uppsala, Western Sweden, Norrland, and Götaland (including Östergötland). We're looking to organize local chapters in other parts of the country. We'd love your input if you want to help get a chapter off the ground closer to where you live. Contact DA Sweden today!

Get involved with issue advocacy
In addition to voter registration, we participate in Congressional advocacy on issues that matter to Americans abroad such as changing from citizenship- to residence-based taxation or making Medicare benefits available overseas.
DA has many global issue-based caucuses any DA member can join. DA Sweden currently has active members organizing events in two caucuses:
