ERA Call to Action

Last Saturday, at the “Women Vote 2024” Global Women’s Caucus event, Karen Lee asked if we were reaching out to tell Congress about our ERA resolution, in addition to the letters that Martha sent to the President and Vice President of the United States, the Majority Leader of the Senate, the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, the Archivist of the United States, and the Chair of the Democratic National Committee. The answer was no but we agreed we need to change that.

One of the key things that the ERA groups in the US hear from The Hill is that Senators and Representatives do not hear much about the Equal Rights Amendment from their constituents. We need to change that. I’ve set up a simple campaign for you to email, call, or tweet to your two Senators and your Representative. Just use this link. Feel free to add to the email template and don’t forget to add your name. Just click on the link, enter your US voting address, add your name, and send to all 3 in one easy step.

Also, if you missed the event last Saturday, I highly recommend you watch or listen on YouTube. You’ll hear some great information and inspiration to get out the vote for human rights, and since put on by the women’s caucus, especially women’s rights.

The other key ERA Call to Action is to Request your Ballot (www.votefromabroad.org) and VOTE. There are lives that depend on it.
