Juneteenth Commemoration & Celebration

Juneteenth Commemoration & Celebration
June 19th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Juneteenth commemorates the unofficial end of slavery, which happened in Texas on June 19th 1865, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This year's celebration of Juneteenth will take place online via Zoom and will highlight the talents of several of our members.

Participants include: singer Ursuline Kairson, author Jake Lamar, and Pastor Victor Greene of the American Church in Paris.

After our short program we will have time to converse and connect. This will be a great opportunity to commiserate on current events, catch up with old friends, meet new people and learn more about the Diversity Caucus.
